About Us
Lux Darkroom is an analogue darkroom in Angel, central London. We offer workshops, private tuition, and a bespoke printing and editioning service in a wide range of analogue, alternative and historical photographic processes including Cyanotype, Salt printing, Van Dyck Brown, Platinum Palladium printing, Kallitype, Photopolymer Gravure, and Liquid Emulsion.
Our mission is to enable our students to make the highest quality prints in the process of their choice, and to provide our editioning clients with beautiful, high quality and archivally stable prints.

Tutors
Constanza Isaza is a fine art photographer and analogue specialist with almost twenty years’ experience in analogue photography. She has a BA in Photographic Arts from the University of Westminster and an MA in History of Art from the Courtauld Institute. She has exhibited internationally at solo and group shows and participated in several artist residency programmes. She co-founded Lux Darkroom with Andrés Pantoja, and has taught workshops at Cambridge School of Art, London College of Communication, and Radley College, among others.

Andrés Pantoja is a visual artist working primarily with photography. His artistic practice is informed by his background as a graphic designer, and a profound social concern. He has exhibited widely both in the UK and abroad and is interested in the relationship between digital and analogue photography. He is co-founder of Lux Darkroom.
Dr Peter Moseley is an experienced photographer and printmaker using the techniques and processes of the nineteenth century, including photogravure, platinum, salt and albumen, carbon transfer, kallitype and cyanotype printing. He specialises in combining digital and analogue technologies and has exhibition entries shown at national and regional galleries, including the National Portrait Gallery, the Royal Society of Printmakers Painters, the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists and the Royal West of England Academy. He is an experienced and qualified teacher and has taught photography/printmaking workshops at universities, colleges and print centres in the UK, Russia, and China. He has workshop and printmaking facilities in Chichester and regularly teaches in London at Lux Darkroom.

Mike Crawford is a photographer and specialist photographic printer based in London. He has printed for many leading photographers, working on numerous exhibitions and publications. In addition, he has held several exhibitions of his own photography, primarily working in urban landscape and portraiture. Mike is an Ilford Photo Master Printer and has taught at several Universities and Institutes and is the author of four technical photographic books and numerous articles for various photographic magazines. Mike specialises in Silver Gelatin and Lith printing.
